Destination

One force is pushing me away from the pain and fear of my accidents with Zum and another force is pulling me towards my destination of riding Zum again on the trails with excitement and fun.

Lay

I lay on Zum’s back so he feels my heart next to his body. I want Zum to believe in my desire to keep him safe from harm. I want him to accept me as his person.

Wiggle

I wiggle my way up on to Zum’s back so he gets used to my legs and feet pressing on his hindquarters.

New

Zum loves to see new things so he loves it when I take him for walks to new places. When he is interested, he is happy.

Still

Zum stands still as I step on the mounting block, which is what I want. He values the opportunity to stand without working. As Zum relaxes, I pet his back with my hands.

Priority

Spending time building trust with Zum is my priority. I have learned from people that I should never make someone a priority when they see me as an option. Zum nickers when he sees me so I know Zum sees me as a priority and a daily friend also.

Puppy

Puppy is a sweet Chihuahua that thinks he is a herd dog. He guards the donkey, goats and sheep. He is another angel in my family.
